I bought my HP laptop in Oct09. It likes to restart/turn on/light up @ 3am everyday. Why is this and what can I do to stop it?

This is the Windows Automatic Updates. You can find them in the taskbar and modify the settings. You should set it to automatically download updates, but only install when you tell it to.
