Hook Xbox 360 to LAPTOP and share internet connection

How do I share my laptop’s wireless connection with my Xbox 360 via ethernet cable?

I know it’s possible, but can someone give me a step-by-step way to do it in order to avoid confusion? Or a link? The most detailed will get my best answer pick.
Ok, let me clarify then. I want to hook my 360 to my LAPTOP and share the internet connection because I don’t have a router close by (I’m not moving it) and I’m not going to spend $$ on an adapter.

This is a tough process, but I’ll try to help you get through it with minimal confusion.

**On Your Laptop**

Step 1: Make sure you are logged in as a computer Administrator.

Step 2: Go to the Control Panel and Double-click on Network Connections.

Step 3: Click on the Advanced tab, then check “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection”. Click OK

**On your Xbox360**

Step 1: Turn on and connect to Xbox Live

Yes, it’s that simple!

If this doesnt work, then try to add in your settings manually (i.e. IP address, router number, etc.) Most likely, the steps listed above will work. They worked for me!

Hope I helped.
